The world of filmmaker Victoria Linares is thrown for a loop when an offhand comment from her aunt reveals that she's related to Oscar Torres, a little-known queer Dominican director who blazed trails in Caribbean docufiction and leftist movements during the authoritarian 1950’s. The revelation sends Victoria down a path of self-inquiry as she engages members of her family in elaborate re-enactments that aim to breach the divide between her long lost cousin’s political and creative vision and her own ambitions as a queer film director.
